Since 2017 Lyka Smith (a Device Technologies Company) has produced more than 5000 custom patient specific components for surgeries across Australia. With the ability to digitally plan complex and challenging cases our team is equipped with skills and technology to assist in a number of surgical procedures.

The opportunity…
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this critical role will assist the Territory Managers to successfully manage their specified sales territories and achieve budgetary forecasts.
Key responsibilities:
Manage cases when and where required, thereby freeing-up Territory Managers to focus on generating sustainable revenue growth
Enhance case management abilities via ongoing development of procedural and product knowledge, i.e., continuous self-learning
Manage sales territories when Territory Managers are unavailable (e.g. on Leave, travelling etc.)
Immediately post each procedure attended, ensure debrief with Surgeon in order to:
Establish likes/dislikes regarding product/procedure;
Reaffirm their preference for Lyka Smith products;
Obtain additional business;
Set (or re-set) their expectations regarding ongoing Lyka Smith personnel case attendance.
Specific focus on building meaningful business relationships with ‘new’ customers (i.e., Surgeon’s, Registrars, Nursing staff & other HCPs)
Be available and suitably organized to discuss business growth opportunities with Surgeons and other customer types whenever the opportunity arises
Accurately document all valid Surgeon issues (e.g. product, procedural etc.), and pass on information, in a timely fashion, to relevant Territory Manager
Check operating lists/gather Intel regarding individual Surgeons and their case-mix, materials suppliers etc
Monitor Hospital stock levels (both owned and consigned) and act upon re-ordering opportunities
Assist Territory Managers to develop/execute Hospital set-up deals
Proactively liaise with Territory Manager to ensure all sustainable business growth opportunities are follow-up in a timely fashion
Liaise with Territory Manager/Sales Management to develop ongoing sales tactics
Liaise with Territory Managers, and then develop/produce/gain Lyka Smith Regulatory approved product/procedure specific ‘cheat sheets’ to be provided to Hospitals

Experience required:
Essential
Healthcare background is essential
Current valid driver’s license
Demonstrated competence in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
High standard of demonstrable written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Desirable
Relevant tertiary qualifications in the sciences – degree or similar
