About the role
Clinical Trial Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect care and associated data collection for concurrent research studies undertaken in the Internal Medicine Services department. They will ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to research participants and their families, in partnership with all members of the research team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures that all consenting patients are screened for eligibility as per the protocol/
- Ensures that the clinical trial is coordinated as per protocol and as per the guidelines.
- Protects patient safety by ensuring that all trial related investigations, procedures and treatments are performed by the appropriately trained and experienced staff.
- Ensures the protocol/project requirements are met and maintain the interest and support of participants and other colleagues.
Skills and experience
- Excellent organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as work in close cooperation with other
- High level of initiative with the ability to plan, implement, priorities and set deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- High proficiency in a range of computer applications, Microsoft Office suite, Web based search engines and databases
- Previous experience with clinical trials would be advantages.

Selection Criteria
- Essential : Relevant tertiary qualification in Science, Health Information Management, Clinical Trial Management or a related paramedical field.
- Essential : Minimum of 10 months clinical trial experience and/or completion of the SKILLED study coordinator or clinical trial assistant internship program
- Essential : Understanding of medical and clinical trial specific terminology
- Essential : Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively in a group setting
- Essential : Achievement of relevant competencies or working towards Study Coordinator competencies as per the SKILLED internship endorsed competency framework/assessments
