Clinical Trial Centre | UniSC Sunshine Coast, Sippy Downs
Level 6, $85,915 - $92,975 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation
Full-time, fixed-term appointment for 3 years

The Opportunity

UniSC has established a world class Clinical Trials business unit which builds the region’s collective clinical research capacity and delivers innovative and regionally relevant research in consultation with key stakeholders, including local healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical executives, and other key thought leaders.

You will be responsible for ensuring that designated clinical trials are conducted in accordance with the appropriate quality standards including International Conference on Harmonization (ICH)/Good Clinical Practice (GCP), UniSC CTC Standard Operating Procedures, and applicable regulations, rules and guidance. Additionally, you may be required to supervise Clinical Trial Associates and student placement activities.

Please note, this position will require a flexible approach, to travel between campuses and our clinical trial centres, as necessary.

You will

plan and execute the conduct of patient visits and be responsible for associated administrative duties including: data collection, laboratory sample processing and shipping and complex document collation;
provide highly specialised coordination to assist in the management of assigned research studies ; and
work collaboratively with the CTC team, sponsors, and monitors to ensure the successful conduct and timely completion of clinical trials.

About you

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will thrive working both autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Additionally, you will enjoy showcasing your high-level computing skills in databases, clinical trial electronic data entry, word processing and spreadsheets.

You will possess:
completion of a degree qualification in Nursing or related field with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and Diploma qualification.
Registered Nurses must have current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
Enrolled Nurses must be medication administration endorsed and have phlebotomy training and experience;
knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice and applicable regulations;
sound understanding of privacy principals governing health information;
previous Clinical Trial Coordination experience highly regarded.

Additional Requirements
It is a condition of employment for this position that you may be required to provide periodic evidence of immunisation against communicable diseases. This may include COVID-19.
