Are you a Registered Nurse who is looking for a new challenge in an interesting Monday - Friday role, without shift work? Opportunities exists within the St Vincent’s Centre for Applied Medical Research (AMR) for a highly motivated Research Nurse/Clinical Trials Coordinator to join our friendly and supportive team.
As a Clinical Trials Coordinator (Research Nurse), you will coordinate new and ongoing clinical trials within the AMR Clinical Research Program, in areas such as infectious diseases, HIV or immunology. Our progressive and innovative team offers training and development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care.
Working within a team of experienced Research Nurses and clinical trials staff, you will manage patients undergoing care within a research project, interact with the relevant multidisciplinary teams and ensure that treatment and data collection is in compliance with clinical research specific requirements (including the Protocol, International Conference on Harmonisation - Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP), relevant regulations and privacy laws).

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries
2. Current nursing registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
3. Experience in a clinical research environment or willingness to learn clinical research
4. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
5. High attention to detail including a methodical and meticulous approach to the recording of clinical information
6. Demonstrated effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing workloads in a complex environment
7. Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
8. Sound computer skills demonstrated by the ability to use standard MS-Office software tools including email, Word, and excel.
