About you:

To be successful in securing this position, you will have:

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Systems/Test Analyst, etc.) from a recognised institution, and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence force or defence industry)

Significant experience working with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders and partnering organisations to achieve common goals

Strong communication skills, including technical writing and the ability to develop/publish high-quality artefacts

Understanding of resolving equipment spatial clashes & interferences that result from compartments (or rooms) having high levels of internal outfitting

Understanding of the considerations to take when designing compartment layouts (or equivalent spaces) to applicable Military Standards (e.g. Human Factors MIL-STD-1472) and in accordance with both Federal and Local WH&S Legislation and Regulations

Your responsibilities will include:

This is an excellent opportunity to work on the Hunter Class Frigate (HCF) program, Australia's biggest surface combatant ship project to date. This role offers location flexibility and can be based either in Osborne, SA or Melbourne CBD.

The Combat System Physical Integration Senior Analyst is primarily responsible for assisting in the development of the overall Combat System (CS) systems design activities to ensure compliance with the CS Physical Integration Design Process.

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for:

Work with the Combat System Engineering Managers and Technical Leaders to evolve the physical integration design of Hunter CS equipment

Evaluation of the maturity of product data provided by suppliers into the integrated data management system

Participate in Technical reviews of the Combat Systems Physical Integration Design products and deliverables

Monitoring the design process and advising of shortfalls against the Warship EMP and SWSE process plans

Support the transition of design data through to stage 3 (production) design data and support to ship build problem resolution

Support Physical Integration Engineers with development of ship integration capability within for the Hunter Class ship

Develop and deliver the Physical Interface Definition Documentation

Develop and deliver Combat System Compartment/Topside layouts and sketches

Develop System Cable Schematic Drawings and Cable Schedules
