About you:
To be successful in securing this position, you will have:
Significant experience in eliciting, interpreting and deconflicting requirements, data & information provided by multiple design teams and suppliers
Sound understanding of and the ability to effectively communicate to internal & external stakeholders the physical design of the HCF platform solution, including: requirements coverage; risks, issues and dependencies
Significant exposure to integration of products into platforms for military systems
Significant experience in risk identification & mitigation practices, including seeking opportunities for continuous business improvement.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering etc.) from a recognised institution.
Significant experience in the Australian Defence Industry.

Your responsibilities will include:
This is an excellent opportunity to work on the Hunter Class Frigate (HCF) program, Australia's biggest surface combatant ship project to date. This role offers location flexibility and can be based either in Osborne, SA or Melbourne CBD.
The Combat System Physical Integration Senior Engineer is primarily responsible for developing and supporting the physical integration of Combat System (CS) equipment onto the Hunter Class Frigate platform.
In this role, you will primarily be responsible for:
Work with the Combat System Engineering Managers and Technical Leaders to evolve the physical integration design of Hunter CS equipment
Evaluation of the maturity of product data provided by suppliers into the integrated data management system
Participate in Technical reviews of the Combat Systems Physical Integration Design products and deliverables
Monitoring the design process and advising of shortfalls against the Warship EMP and SWSE process plans
Support the transition of design data through to stage 3 (production) design data and support to ship build problem resolution
Development of ship integration capability within for the Hunter Class ship
Develop and deliver the Physical Interface Definition Documentation
Develop and deliver Combat System Compartment/Topside layouts and sketches
Support development of Combat System Engineering Technical Budgets
Develop System Schematic Drawings
Develop and Support Cable Schedules
