Job description

About the role:
As a Commercial Business Development Manager for Dulux Decorative Trade, you will establish meaningful, sustainable, profitable & mutually beneficial business relationships with identified Architects and Tier 2 Commercial Builders in the State both large and mid-tier, to secure profitable growth & improve the business position & market share for Dulux Group (DG) business units and brands in line with the overall Dulux Group national and state sales strategy.

This role is based in South-East Queensland with some regional travel.

Responsibilities

Implement the national commercial strategy at state level to include the entire Dulux Group product portfolio generating specification, converting to sales and growing market share.
Conduct frequent customer visits (4 to 5 per day) and project management, engaging with all key stakeholders to win projects
Ensure retention of established builder & architect relationships through strong account and relationship management
Help our customers win by supporting the sales team, participate in periodic reviews, understanding commercial painters in your state and their current activities, their current and future project pipeline and their future business direction and aspirations.
Deliver Sales and Profit budget aspirations & targets across various measures
Ensure accurate internal reporting via internal CRM and planning software

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a similar role selling large volumes to commercial construction with a desire to grow and progress in a business
Strong understanding of the decision making process in commercial construction.
Basic technical knowledge of coatings.
Strong communication, & influencing skills
Identify with customer’s commercial drivers
Ability to operate independently & Self-manage time
Ability to present/negotiate and influence effectively
Ability to communicate both written and oral across various levels of management (eg preparation of agreements using legal templates)
