ABOUT THE ROLE
Sales
- Working with all parties in the building industry, from developers to contractors.
- Managing the whole project life cycle, from specification to project completion.
- Ensuring that relevant sales budgets are achieved and maintaining sufficient sales.
- Developing and maintaining broader industry market knowledge.
- Identifying new sales leads and markets.
- Conducting regular business reviews including preparation of reports.
- Contributing to the quarterly and annual sales planning for the territory and state.
- Forming and maintaining professional relationships with customers across all
- Promoting and selling the company’s decorative products to an existing and new client base.
- Connecting with potential clients to build the sales pipeline.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues in the Sales Team.
- Identifying knowledge gaps in customers’ knowledge and delivering training
- Developing and managing a customer call cycle.
- Establishing and maintaining project management practices.
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
- Preparing presentations and sales displays.
- Developing professional and reliable quotes and proposals.
- Developing and delivering Product Training sessions for clients.
- Ensuring that all customer have up to date samples and marketing collateral.
- Ensuring all relevant information is entered into accurately into systems (Including CRM).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial sales
- Tertiary qualification (desirable)
- Experience in the building and construction industry
- Decorative products experience (desirable)
- Experience working with architects, designers, developers and builders in obtaining
- Excellent written, aural and oral communication skills
- Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills
- Customer focused, building strong customer relationships and delivering customer solutions
- Collaborates to build partnerships, working constructively with a diverse range of
- Ability to negotiate and work effectively with customers and colleagues
- Intermediate computer skills using various packages including the Microsoft Office
- Ability to work autonomously whilst performing within a team environment
- A current valid driver’s licence
