ABOUT THE ROLE

Sales

• Working with all parties in the building industry, from developers to contractors.
• Managing the whole project life cycle, from specification to project completion.
• Ensuring that relevant sales budgets are achieved and maintaining sufficient sales.

• Developing and maintaining broader industry market knowledge.
• Identifying new sales leads and markets.
• Conducting regular business reviews including preparation of reports.
• Contributing to the quarterly and annual sales planning for the territory and state.

Relationship Management

• Forming and maintaining professional relationships with customers across all

channels.

• Promoting and selling the company’s decorative products to an existing and new client base.
• Connecting with potential clients to build the sales pipeline.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues in the Sales Team.
• Identifying knowledge gaps in customers’ knowledge and delivering training
• Developing and managing a customer call cycle.
• Establishing and maintaining project management practices.
• Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.

Information and Insights

• Preparing presentations and sales displays.
• Developing professional and reliable quotes and proposals.
• Developing and delivering Product Training sessions for clients.
• Ensuring that all customer have up to date samples and marketing collateral.
• Ensuring all relevant information is entered into accurately into systems (Including CRM).

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial sales
• Tertiary qualification (desirable)
• Experience in the building and construction industry
• Decorative products experience (desirable)
• Experience working with architects, designers, developers and builders in obtaining

specifications and tenders

• Excellent written, aural and oral communication skills
• Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills
• Customer focused, building strong customer relationships and delivering customer solutions
• Collaborates to build partnerships, working constructively with a diverse range of

stakeholders

• Ability to negotiate and work effectively with customers and colleagues
• Intermediate computer skills using various packages including the Microsoft Office

Suite and CRM

• Ability to work autonomously whilst performing within a team environment
• A current valid driver’s licence
