As a member of the Legal Group you will be involved in the entire lifecycle of renewable infrastructure projects including wind farms, solar farms, energy storage facilities, renewable hydrogen and green fuels facilities, and bioenergy.
Responsibilities
Involved in the full-life cycle of contract management including drafting and negotiation, approval, execution, renewal, or termination, including NDAs, preparing amendments, and generating contract status reports.
Review, draft, edit, and coordinate briefings, correspondence, reports, and documentation.
Work closely with the Company Secretary, on complex legal and compliance issues and assist with resolution.
Provide analytical support on projects using substantial judgment in the analysis, interpretation, integration, and application of complex data and information as needed and assigned.
Coordinate with internal business partners regarding contract terms and assist in audits of contracts.
Maintain the systems for tracking, filing, and managing contracts.
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve processes and drive implementation through multi-department collaboration and coordination.
Obtain all necessary and appropriate internal approvals for contract terms.
Support the broader legal group in conducting contract management trainings for the business.
Effectively communicate and respond to inquiries regarding contract terms and obligations.
Complete projects independently as well as by assigning work to clerical staff; following up on results and ensuring accountability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is preferred
At least 5 years of experience as a lawyer or contracts/commercial manager in a law firm and/or in-house environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and handling contract management systems.
Familiarity with a wide variety of agreements, including NDAs, power purchase agreements, consulting agreements, and other commercial contracts.
High level of professionalism and motivation, and be able work individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Ability to take initiative to identify and complete tasks.
Ability to manage multiple projects with rapidly changing priorities.
Demonstrated capacity and passion for organization and efficiency.
Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
