Commercial Deals Tax Specialist

We are seeking Tax Specialists with experience in large commercial deals to join our Tax Avoidance Taskforce. As a Tax Specialist in our Tax Avoidance Taskforce, you’ll

• critique proposed lodgement positions associated with large ($30m+) commercial deals, identify problems and opportunities for improvement, actively engaging others in identifying, developing, and implementing solutions
• tackle complex tax issues, analyse factual matrices, apply the tax law and sound judgment to achieve principled and fair outcomes
• advocate for the merits of alternate positions and apply commercial insights in understanding and communicating a technical view
• manage, mentor and coach staff in the relevant area of tax specialisation
• influence solutions to complex technical, sensitive and controversial tax matters while operating in a large and complex environment with a range of diverse clients and stakeholders
