An exciting Ongoing opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Officer to join the NSW Telco Authority, a rapidly growing part of Digital.NSW within the Department of Customer Service.

The successful candidate will be working across large ICT categories. Undertake a range of administrative activities to support project procurement along with operational activities and assist stakeholders to manage and deliver sourcing activities to effectively meet organisational and business objectives. This role is part of a collaborative team who value individual input and offers genuine flexibility.

The role sits within the ICT Team in the Commercial Unit of NSW Telco Authority.

In this role you will:

  • Assist Senior Commercial Officer in analysing supplier performance across a range of contracts and monitoring compliance levels in accordance with contract management plans.
  • Administer straightforward contracts to ensure accuracy of pricing, scope variations, updates to terms and conditions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to optimise contracts, contributing to ongoing improvements to products and service delivery.
  • Preparing correspondence including briefing notes and procurement documentation ensuring effective records management and reporting.
  • Maintain contract records in contract management application.
  • Assist in coordinating and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across business units to deliver value for money and deliver procurement outcomes.
  • Comply with policies, processes and frameworks during the contract administration and management life cycle

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management.
  • Well-developed written communication and interpersonal skills, including the preparation of procurement and technical documents.
  • Ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Good level of conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and highlight key issues.
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritise and organise workloads to agreed timeframes.

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $101,947 base plus superannuation + leave loading + accrued flex leave + continuous professional development opportunities.
