Form of workItalian e Morsi St Kilda is now looking for two chefs to join our team.
We are a small Italian cafe/restaurant in St Kilda and have a very local clientele. We are open for trade during breakfast, lunch and dinner services and our menu consists of Melbourne style breakfast dishes to modern italian dinner dishes.
We have both a breakfast and a dinner chef position available. The right applicants will be able to work well as part of a team and independently, have the ability to work well under pressure and time constraints, and ideally have at least one year experience in the appropriate roll.
Responsibilities of the right candidate will consist of; setting up or packing down the kitchen, preparation and cooking dishes a la carte and preparation of specials, help with the monitoring of food stock, ensure proper rotation of food items, and assist with the placement of orders, keeping the kitchen tidy and in an organized manor, and work efficiently and respectfully with co-workers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
