About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Cook and Chef de Partie to join the amazing kitchen team at Boathouse.
In this role you will:
- Ensure strict food safety standards, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques are established and monitored at all times
- Effectively manage the day-to-day operation of the Production kitchen, including overseeing team member management
- Assist with production schedules and food preparation
- Deliver high standard preparation for all of our events and manage teams in several sections simultaneously
About You
You're a passionate food professional with a sound knowledge of kitchen operations and a desire to provide an exceptional food experience every time.
You will have:
- Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery
- Good knowledge of WHS requirements
- Exceptional communication and time management skills
- The ability to work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure setting
- Strong leadership, motivation, and people skills
- Basic knowledge of food cost, portion control, labour cost, productivity and wastage
