About the Role:
In your new role as a Commissioning Manager, you will be assigned to a field commissioning organization in a supervisory capacity within an EPCM team, responsible for supervising and directing commissioning operations for the project. 
You will make day-to-day decisions in support of commissioning progress and make recommendations to project management regarding policy and procedure, responsible for review of project designs and recommendation of changes to design so that projects are safe and operable.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Direct and monitor assigned project commissioning and operations which may include review of design for plant operability, preparation of operations manuals, coordination with construction during field check out and pre-commissioning and testing and execution of the commissioning in the field.
-Direct the formulation of and recommends to departmental management policies, procedures, plans and programs.
-Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of assigned engineers, estimates staffing needs and schedules, and assigns work to meet completion dates.
-Provides input to project management, engineering, and construction to ensure commissioning requirements are incorporated into project activities, including review of project designs and construction.
-Coordinates, as directed, with project management, the commissioning related engineering, construction and client activities as an office assignment or during commissioning, operations, maintenance or testing at the jobsite.
-Other responsibilities as designated.
 
What You Bring:
-Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, or a professional license in an engineering discipline, or specialized courses in relevant general engineering, or an appropriate engineering discipline, or broad, progressive work experience including senior supervisory experience in startup, operations, or other relevant experience in design engineering, construction, field engineering, or plant operation in power, industrial, or process facilities.
-Extensive technical knowledge of commissioning and plant operations within iron ore industry.
-Knowledge of engineering systems and calculations, applications of both engineering and commissioning methods, and knowledge of application of computers to engineering problems.
-Extensive knowledge of precedents in the commissioning and operations areas and a broad knowledge of principles and practices of related areas.
-Broad knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to startup, maintenance, operations, or testing.
-Demonstrated skill in leadership.
