The Organisation

Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA) provides general practitioners, skin cancer doctors and nurses with direct access to the latest knowledge and practical skills to improve the identification and treatment of skin cancer.
SCCA is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, and is the peak body representing and supporting over 1200 skin cancer medical practitioners in both Australia and New Zealand. The organisation is committed to supporting the professional development of its members and the delivery of skin cancer education, advocacy, and standards.

The Role

Working with the Business Operations Manager (BOM) and CEO you will play a collaborative role in supporting SCCA with its continued and rapidly evolving phase of expansion and growth. You will proactively contribute to the big picture whilst leading and coordinating a communications and engagement strategy to increase SCCA membership, product uptake and brand awareness.

This will include:

  • Membership retention and growth
  • Promotion of SCCA education program
  • Developing innovative and engaging member offers and events
  • Scheduling, developing and managing EDMs, social media content, advertising and SEO
  • Working closely with the marketing and events coordinator to promote and deliver events

Skills Required

You are proactive, creative and resourceful and bring experience working in a communications and engagement role within a member based professional service, not for profit or health services organisation. Your interpersonal and relationship management skills and previous success achieving retention and growth are key to your success and you have a demonstrated ability to:

  • Measure, assess and improve member engagement and growth
  • Develop, implement and deliver marketing programs including planning and execution
  • Manage membership resources including online forums
  • Drive brand awareness and promote services
  • Engage and foster relationships with stakeholders, sponsors and supporters
  • Work proficiently with applications such as Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey, Adobe, and WordPress platforms
