Eligibility: Open to EveryoneWe have an opportunity for a Communications Team Lead to be part of our Industry, Strategy and Partnerships Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.The Communications Team Lead provides leadership and direction to the Communications team in the Communication and Digital Services directorate.This role is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of effective communications strategies and associated activities that increase awareness about the work of the department and amplifies across channels.The Communications Team Lead is required to liaise with business areas to determine required resources and recommend delivery accordingly where the Service Level is beyond core business requirements (SL2).The nature of the position means the Communications Team Lead requires extensive knowledge, skills, and experience in communications, preferably in a government context, strong management skills, outstanding relationship management and teamwork capabilities. • Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
• Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
• Opportunity up to January 2025
• Desirable: tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or a related role, or significant experience in a similar role, preferably within the public sector.

Requirements

• Current driver’s license
• Out of hours work will be, and inter/intrastate travel may be required
• Acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations when applying for a role.
• The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.
