AddressStrata Products Australia is part of the Atlanta USA based Strata Worldwide. In Australia, we operate in Newcastle, Perth and Mackay. Due to continued growth in our core markets of Mining, Tunnelling and Construction we require an experienced Communications/Automation/Networking Technician. Strata provide a range of safety and productivity related products and solutions from:
- Networking technologies
- RF communications
- Proximity solutions
Working alongside industry professionals and with their support, you will be responsible for the installation, service, design and maintenance of solutions throughout the region.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Designing systems and product deployments to meet customer needs.
- Installing, testing and commissioning of systems and products at customer sites
- Training end users and customers on the systems and products
- Supervising installation and assembly work completed by other Technicians and external trades
- Maintenance and diagnostic services to ensure optimal system performance and efficient fault rectification
- Conduct repairs to Strata products as required
- Fabricate or customise products and solutions as required.
- Typical products and solutions include:
- networking technologies – fibre optics, copper and wireless, including IoT
- radio communications - underground and surface deployment
- proximity solutions - EM based and AI Camera based solutions
- supporting applications
- Assisting Sales and Engineering teams with technical and customer support.
- Provide verbal and written reports to customers regarding any servicing activities or recommendations.
- Understands Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Health, Safety and Environment regulations
The role does require both a current driver’s licence and relevant qualifications in Electrotechnology covering data communications, radio communications or electrical trades. Intra and Interstate travel is required along with potential for international travel.
