Brunel's renewables recruitment team is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Community Engagement Manager to join our team for a Wind Farm project in Regional Victoria. As the Community Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective engagement strategies that will build and maintain positive relationships with local communities, stakeholders, and partners.
About this role
Develop and implement community engagement plans to support the Wind Farm project, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed, consulted, and involved throughout the project lifecycle.
Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders such as landowners, community groups, councils, government agencies, and other partners.
Coordinate and facilitate community consultation activities such as information sessions, community meetings, and workshops.
Act as a key point of contact for community members, providing them with accurate and timely information about the project, addressing their concerns, and managing any issues that arise.
Work closely with the project team to ensure that community feedback is incorporated into project planning and decision-making processes.
Develop and manage communication materials such as newsletters, website content, and social media updates.
Monitor and report on community engagement activities and provide regular updates to the project team and stakeholders.
About you
Proven experience in community engagement, stakeholder management, and project management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Knowledge and understanding of community engagement principles, practices, and tools.Understanding of the renewable energy sector and the regulatory environment in which it operates.
Experience working in a regional or rural setting and an understanding of rural communities and their needs.
Tertiary qualifications in a related field (e.g., community engagement, social sciences, communications, or project management) are highly desirable.
