Community Engagement Managers - Darwin Nt (Expression Of Interest)

About the role

We are seeking Client Engagement Managers who have experience engaging with community organizations, government, and non-government agencies to generate referral pathways for people with disability (NDIS Participants) requiring Specialist Disability Accommodation. You will be responsible for establishing, strengthening, and maintaining strong, positive relationships with community representatives.

Major responsibilities:

Working in collaboration with key external stakeholders including Support Coordinators, LACs, and government departments to develop, implement and evaluate community engagement and brand awareness opportunities to identify and transition participants who required our service.

Actively identify, facilitate and participate in community and stakeholder events and forums

Maintain a sound current knowledge of NDIS support items, support catalogue, and funding rules

Work closely with the team to transition participants of SIL, STA, MTA and LTA and help register potential participants with NDIS

Monitor feedback on our services and work with the team to enhance the quality of service

Support participants in transitioning from their existing residence to Cocoon Homes

Provide recommendations and work closely with the marketing and communication team to successfully implement targeted community events.

Accurately document communications in accordance with NDIS guidelines.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have experience (minimum of one year) in a similar role and field and be able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability for the business development of the organization. You will have a relevant knowledge of the NDIS and NDIA Framework, excellent interpersonal and networking skills and good written and verbal communication.

Mandatory requirements

Please note that the successful applicant will be required to hold;

• Certificate III in Disability Services or Community Services
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• NDIS COVID 19 Certification
• Proof of Full Covid Vaccination
• Working with Children Check
• NT Driver’s License and car at your disposal

You must also have the NDIS Worker Orientation certificate completed and please log in to https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au/ if you haven't obtained the certificate already.
