ABOUT THE ROLE - This position is an Indigenous Identified position.
The Community Engagement Officer will have a dual role working as both the Community Engagement Officer and Employment Specialist.
The Community Engagement Officer will promote the Indigenous Skills and Employment Program within the community and will support First Nations people to obtain further training and development, connect with employers to result in long-term sustainable employment. The position will be responsible for organising and delivering community events across all Town Camps in Alice Springs.
The Employment Specialist manages a caseload of Apprentices and Trainees (Apprentice) across varied industries. The Employment Specialist will build a relationship with the Host Business and Apprentice, and provide them with continued mentoring and support throughout the duration of the Australian Apprenticeship.
The Employment Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the Apprentice obtains the necessary training on the job, supervision and support to result in a successful completion in their qualification.
Salary
Salary range $76,125 – $88,305pa
Starting rate will depend on prior knowledge and experience.
Company vehicle is provided for business and private use. All maintenance, insurance and fuel is covered by the $5,500pa motor vehicle contribution, which is deducted from salary before tax.
