The Role & The Team

As a Community Engagement Senior Advisor some of your focus will be:

• Contributing to the development and execution of our social licence strategy
• Managing engagement programs applying our community engagement framework
• Preparing and delivering presentations and seeking community/stakeholder feedback via various channels including the Community Aviation Consultation Groups (CACGs)
• Engaging and managing external resources to support and/or execute engagement plans, communication activities and reviews
• Developing correspondence with the Aircraft Noise Ombudsman (ANO) regarding Airservices community engagement activities, and performance
• Contributing to the development and execution of National PFAS Engagement Plan
• Delivering community insights relevant to the broader enterprise strategy.

The Person

To be successful in this role you will require:

• Strong experience in community engagement on complex technical matters
• Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
• Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and communities
• Ability to quickly understand and effectively articulate complex issues with business, social and technical implications
• Existing knowledge of or ability to rapidly gain knowledge of complex environmental matters such as aircraft noise and PFAS is highly desirable
• International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) certificate or membership is desirable
• Degree in communications or similar field is required
