An enthusiastic and self-motivated person is being sought to fill the role of Community Hub Coordinator, based at Mount Archer State School. The successful applicant will build positive working relationships with families and community groups to provide successful outcomes for local children and their families. This is a temporary part time role available for 36 hours per fortnight until 30 June 2025, unless otherwise determined.

Role:
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement strategies for effective community networks and partnerships between key stakeholders in the local area to encourage a positive, inviting introduction to school.
- Ensure that communities and children are involved in the design and implementation of tailored wellbeing programs.
- Develop a communication strategy to ensure families in the community are well aware of opportunities created and are engaged with the hub activities.
- Ensure integration of the Community Hub activities with the range of programs and services in the community.
The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:
- Supports strategic direction: Demonstration experience and understanding of the issues (particularly disengagement and age appropriate learning strategies) experienced by young people, including those of first nations, refugee and migrant backgrounds, and their families.
- Achieves results: Demonstrated strong understanding of the needs of children in complex, culturally diverse, low socioeconomic communities and the variety of ways in which employment pathways need to be shaped to suit students/families in these environments through the implementation of innovative programs.
- Supports productive working relationships: Knowledge of effective support networks for children and demonstrated success in facilitating change.
- Displays personal drive and integrity: Demonstrated commitment to working with children, families and stakeholders to facilitate change and collaborating within a community development framework.
- Communicates with influence: Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with a diverse range of people including first nations, migrant and refugee students and their families.
