As a HammondCare At Home volunteer, you’ll spend time with an elderly person in your local community each week in their home. You'll help to improve their quality of life and help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.
A man in Kirribilli who has a great interest in politics, current events, art, history and travel would like to meet someone to share in a weekly catch up and to chat about a common interest.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with. The Community Visitor Scheme is a Federal Government initiative established to promote links between elderly people and their local community.
