Competitions Coordinator - Tournaments

Basketball Queensland are looking for a dynamic and quick thinking individual to join our competitions department as a competition coordinator to assist in the delivery and management of BQ competitions. 

This includes, but is not limited to:

1. Junior State Championships
2. Queensland Junior Club Championships
3. Pan Pacific Masters Tournament
4. The Basketball Queensland Junior Basketball Competitions (BQJBC)
5. Champion Basketball School of Queensland (CBSQ) tournaments
6. Any other competition that Basketball Queensland delivers or may introduce from time to time.

The successful candidate will meet the following selection criteria:

1. Demonstrated high level of written and oral communication skills, including the ability to be client focused and able to communicate and negotiate with a broad range of people at all levels;
2. Good time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines;
3. Proven skills and knowledge in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), use of internet and e-mail and ability to update websites;
4. Customer-focused with the ability to understand issues from the customer’s perspective, be solution focused and a calming influence in circumstances where customer expectations have not been met; 
5. High level of literacy with the ability to read and interpret competition rules and apply them as intended;
6. Demonstrated ability to quickly master information technology;
7. Attention to Detail - demonstrated skills in data entry and written communication with a high level of accuracy;
8. Available to work to suit the demands of the role which will mean that the successful applicant will have to work some weekends and after standard business hours; 
9. Hold a current drivers license; and
10. Have your own roadworthy motor vehicle.
