Basketball Queensland are looking for a dynamic and quick thinking individual to join our competitions department as a competition coordinator to assist in the delivery and management of BQ competitions.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Junior State Championships
- Queensland Junior Club Championships
- Pan Pacific Masters Tournament
- The Basketball Queensland Junior Basketball Competitions (BQJBC)
- Champion Basketball School of Queensland (CBSQ) tournaments
- Any other competition that Basketball Queensland delivers or may introduce from time to time.
The successful candidate will meet the following selection criteria:
- Demonstrated high level of written and oral communication skills, including the ability to be client focused and able to communicate and negotiate with a broad range of people at all levels;
- Good time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines;
- Proven skills and knowledge in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), use of internet and e-mail and ability to update websites;
- Customer-focused with the ability to understand issues from the customer’s perspective, be solution focused and a calming influence in circumstances where customer expectations have not been met;
- High level of literacy with the ability to read and interpret competition rules and apply them as intended;
- Demonstrated ability to quickly master information technology;
- Attention to Detail - demonstrated skills in data entry and written communication with a high level of accuracy;
- Available to work to suit the demands of the role which will mean that the successful applicant will have to work some weekends and after standard business hours;
- Hold a current drivers license; and
- Have your own roadworthy motor vehicle.
