Reporting in to the Head of Store Development & Design, you will design, manage and deliver world-class retail concepts and solutions into Myer stores; while driving and delivering new, innovative designs to ensure the business gets maximum value from capital spent.

About the Role:

• Design and present new and innovative concepts that support the company strategy through presentations, sketches and relevant technical documentation.
• Develop and oversee production of new design concepts and specification, ensuring the design and deliverables meet programme, budget and agreed standard.
• Develop and manage the production of technical documentation, specifications, details and finishes for new and refurbished stores.
• Follow the project from end to end ensuring design detailing is executed through the construction phases, from prototyping, onsite inspections, through to completion to ensure that agreed standards are achieved.
• Manage internal/external stakeholders and consultants, shopfitters and contractors to ensure all design are in line with Myer strategy and project timelines.
• Be responsible for the production of Brand Partners documentation (Pad Plans) for proposed installations within Myer stores
• Working with external brand partners to review and approve brand submissions to enhance the retail experience and appearance of Myer stores

About You:

• Solid retail design experience is essential
• A degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong knowledge of retail/product design in terms of fixture design, fixture layout, lighting, finishes and spatial planning.
• Good understanding of construction means and methods
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe CS6 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Strong concept design skills, a proven track record of running and delivering projects
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills; verbal, written and visual
• Strong visual presentation skills including perspective sketching, graphic design and rendering (hand or computer generated)
• Effective time management and an ability to multi-task and prioritize a dynamic workload
• Ability and willingness to perform under tight deadlines to ensure successful completion of all work assignments
