Confectionery Maker

Our client, Australian sweets and Namkeen Pty Ltd. is a manufacturer of south Asian Dairy products and Sweets based in Pendle Hill and is looking for an experienced Confectionary Maker to join its team.
The Confectionery Maker must have hands-on experience producing sweets and dairy products and confections, have worked in a fast-paced kitchen and can handle multiple priorities while maintaining an eye on quality. The applicant must have a strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, a strong work-ethic, and is a self-motivated team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
The Confectionery Maker must be able to demonstrate an ability and drive to learn quickly and also assist with managing inventory and stock rotation, QA/QC, record keeping and maintaining health and safety requirements.
Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
• AQF Certificate I, or compulsory secondary education

In this role your main responsibilities include:

• Processing food products
• weighing, measuring, mixing, dissolving and boiling ingredients
• Adding materials, such as spices and preservatives, to food and beverages
• Manual handling
• Labelling and filling packaging
• Packing
• Operating heating, chilling, freezing, pasteurising, carbonating plant
• Operating machines to peel, core, slice, dice, pit and juice fruit and vegetables
• Inventory management and compliance with food safety requirements.
• Complete records accurately and consistently
• Maintaining a clean and organized space, following proper cleaning and sanitation procedures
• Monitoring product quality before packaging by inspecting, taking samples
• Moving products from production lines into storage and shipping areas
• Packaging and bottling products

Skills, experience and attributes:

• Previous experience in a food factory ideally in a similar role
• Be a positive, enthusiastic team member
• Supporting equipment maintenance and repair
• Comply with company policies and procedures
• Good time management
• The ability and drive identify areas of improvement
• Handling day-to-day production issues and concerns
