Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently seeking a Manager of Construction to join our Perth team in our Minerals & Metals division.
Wood is at the forefront of engineering solutions for a net zero future. A key component of decarbonising the world is the Mining and Minerals Industry which supplies the critical minerals required for this revolution.
Wood is currently delivering critical metals projects (Battery and Magnet metals) all over the world, including Copper, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals projects.
Wood is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join our Project Delivery team, in coming months to support the upcoming project portfolio in next half of 2023. Our Project Delivery is a dynamic team of professionals, who partner with our wider business and support across delivery, services, and supply chain management.
As a Construction Manager your role will be responsible for the coordination integrity of each project driving alignment in front end planning through to execution across the design, schedule, budget & Safety standards, ensuring it align with construction framework.
Your breadth of experience in construction/project management of major scale projects within a EPCM environment will see you drive the key project stages, particular in kick off stages, in addition to establishing construction strategies and framework, ultimately enhancing our project delivery capabilities. Therefore, you may work across specific projects or across subset of projects.
Skills / Qualifications:
About You
We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager/Project Manager who has built their career within medium to large scale EPCM projects, ideally within the resources sector.
In addition, we are looking for;
Relative industry or tertiary qualifications, experienced in construction/project management.
Proven ability to build cohesive & effective relationships across key stakeholder groups, inclusive of client, vendors & Wood personnel.
Proven success in delivery of medium to large scale projects within designated time, schedule budget & HSSE requirements -strong proven safety record
Ability to effective workforce resource plan to project portfolio needs.
Prior success in establishing high performing teams, proactively coaching and mentoring to deliver on succession planning requirements.
Ability to be agile, flexible and able to work in an ever changing environment.
