This role will be directly managing the construction of Tesla Service and Collision centers in conjunction to partnering with our design and real estate teams. We are looking for someone with a strong ability to communicate with internal and external partners along with directly managing contractors. This is a full time position that requires the flexibility of traveling when needed (up to 60%) throughout Australia and New Zealand.
What You’ll Do
- Project oversite from real estate hand off through design, construction execution and final handover
- Creation of project estimates/budgets and scope outline.
- Concurrently managing projects through all phases of concept, design, execution, punch list.
- Direct contractor management including safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
- Ongoing collaboration with counterparts and clients to ensure seamless project execution
- Project budget tracking and forecast reporting to management.
- Project closeout with contractors and AHJ
- Coordination of site inspections with local AHJ and contractors
- Contractor Invoice review and approval.
- Coordinate and aid the Tesla Design Manager in the procurement/management of design consultants
- Master Programming
- Presentation of information to the Tesla Management Team
- Understand the requirements under a AFL and lease and administer the obligations under the agreements
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in Construction & Project management
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related subject and 4-6 years field experience.
- Thorough understanding of construction administration processes, including contracts, budgets, construction documents, change orders, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and material procurement.
- Excellent written and spoken English. Must have the ability to discuss technical topics with a variety of audiences – contractors, engineers, and members of various teams within Tesla.
- Ability to identify potential problems and prior to them becoming a larger issue.
- Understanding of forecast planning and budgeting.

- Ability to obtain a United States of America passport.
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
