•                 8 Clinic Locations (4 Metro and 4 Regional)

This is a multi-disciplinary specialist practice which provide neuro spinal surgery services in Western Australia.

Neurospine Institute was formed with the desire to offer comprehensive and cohesive treatment of brain and spine injuries, trauma and disease.  

The four specialist surgeons are supported by a dedicated team of specialist medical and rehabilitation physicians, physiotherapists, nursing and administration staff, allowing the delivery of high quality clinical outcomes and service to patients in need of neuro-spinal care.

They are looking to add to their team of Surgeons in 2024/25.

  • Perform complex Orthopaedic Spine surgeries, including but not limited to minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS) techniques including MISS and tubular decompression techniques, percutaneous screws, navigation techniques, LLIF, OLIF (ATP) and MISS L5/S1 ALIF, TLIF and PLIF. Spinal deformity surgery, motion preservation techniques (TDR, DSS) and intradural surgery is also regularly seen. The case mix is predominantly degenerative, but trauma, tumour, AIS and infective cases are frequent.
  • Evaluate and diagnose patients with spinal conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals, including neurosurgeons, physiotherapists, and pain management specialists.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients, ensuring their well-being and recovery.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Orthopaedic Spine surgery techniques, research, and technologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our practice.
  • Every surgical patient is enrolled in an outcomes database offering multiple research opportunities, and involvement with our research foundation is highly encouraged. Our practice incorporates in house perioperative and pain physicians and spinal-focused physiotherapists.
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring activities for medical students, residents, and fellows (we are a registered AO Spine Fellowship Centre). Our surgeons lecture nationally and internationally at conferences, educational events and for AO Spine regularly.
Requirements:
  • Medical degree from a recognized institution with Registration as a Medical Practitioner with APRHA, and Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).
  • Current rights to work in Australia (Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent resident)
  • Extensive experience in performing a wide range of Orthopaedic Spine surgeries.
