This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced administrator to take on a position in the People Services team. The area is responsible for employee relations, policies and procedures, payroll and establishment management, business analysis and reporting, rehabilitation, work, health and safety and recruitment administration. This team contributes to achieving the workforce plan objectives of attraction, retention and providing a safe workplace. As the consultant (payroll, rehabilitation, and reporting), you will be responsible for all payroll related activities including advice, problem solution, maintenance of electronic files, forwarding payroll information for processing and arranging for other payments in accordance with LAQ employment conditions. You will arrange advertising, transfers, update role descriptions and conduct job evaluations.

In this role you will:
- Verify content of establishment forms and forward for payroll processing, maintain employment information on electronic personnel files, and make changes to the establishment in Employee Self Service.
- Respond to enquiries and liaise with managers, employees and the payroll provider in relation to payroll, timesheet, employment conditions/entitlements and establishment issues. This includes rectifying errors identified through PCC reporting.
- Coordinate the Senior Executive Service (SES) contracts by monitoring the expiry dates, assisting with contract details (i.e. remuneration) and manage the annual SES declaration of interests.
- Prepare advertisements including updating role descriptions, posting online and arranging for internal and media advertising. Also provide advice to managers about advertising options, as well as provide support to the Consultant (recruitment and payroll) role when required.
