Job description

As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving organizational excellence by developing and executing a comprehensive Continuous Improvement strategy. Leading cross-functional teams, you will identify, prioritize, and implement improvement projects using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and enhance overall efficiency.

Job Description

As the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be involved in the critical task of working across multiple functions, particularly across recruiting teams, to improve processes, reduce waste and enhance performance. You will report progress to senior management to ensure that your efforts align with organizational goals and contribute to sustained efficiency and excellence.

You will:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Continuous Improvement strategy to optimise processes and enhance overall organisational efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams in identifying, prioritising, and executing improvement projects across various departments.
  • Utilise Lean or Six Sigma tools and methodologies to analyse current processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of improvement initiatives and report progress to senior management.
  • Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to ensure alignment of improvement projects with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct training sessions to educate team members at all levels on Lean or Six Sigma principles, fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement.
  • Drive a data-driven decision-making approach by analysing and interpreting process data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead and facilitate root cause analysis sessions to address and resolve complex business challenges.
  • Ensure effective change management practices are implemented to support the adoption of new processes and methodologies.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies, incorporating best practices into the organisation.

Candidate’s Profile

To be successful in this role, you will have extensive background driving Continuous Improvement, showcasing successful implementation of improvement initiatives.

A Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations or relevant field and a certification in Lean or Six Sigma (Black Belt) is essential.

Your background will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience leading successful Lean or Six Sigma projects, preferably in a manufacturing or operational setting.
  • Strategic approach to ensure project alignment with business objectives, and you will have the ability to cultivate a culture of improvement through focused training.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent project management abilities, overseeing end to end improvement projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams and setting key performance indicators.
  • Proficient in Lean or Six Sigma tools, statistical analysis, and process mapping software.
