The Opportunity
Due to our Acciona, MACA, AECOM Alliance being selected as the preferred bidder on the northern package we are seeking to appoint a Contracts Administrator working out of the Collingwood project office site office's as required. You will be responsible for managing and administering various contracts supporting the North East Link project. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure that all contract requirements are met and that the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
The Project
The ACCIONA, MACA & AECOM Alliance has been selected as the preferred bidder on the North East Link Project (Northern Package). This package of works covers the design and construction of the North East Link between the M80 - Plenty Rd interchange, and the north tunnel entrance at Watsonia. Works include three kilometres of new freeway, two kilometres of freeway upgrades, construction of retaining walls and bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, and urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure that all contract requirements are understood and met
Provide support to the procurement team in the preparation of tender documents and contract negotiations
Maintain accurate records of contract correspondence, variations, and claims
Prepare and submit progress claims and invoices in accordance with contract terms
Assist in the resolution of contractual disputes and claims
Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with contract terms
Prepare and maintain a contract register and schedule of contract deliverables
Identify and manage contract risks and opportunities
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies and procedures
Required Skills and Competencies
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as law, engineering, or business
A solid foundation of experience in contracts administration, preferably in the construction or infrastructure industry
Detailed understanding of contract law and contract management principles
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
