Our Design & Construction department at Scentre Group is responsible for the end-to-end process from concept to delivery of our Westfield living centres. An integral part of this is the extensions and upgrades to existing centres. We develop and deliver designs that reflect the Westfield experience and latest thinking while optimising costs and providing speed to market that exceeds the best achievable by alternate delivery methodologies.
Your Opportunity
We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Australian Construction team to support with the procurement, contract administration and financial reporting for the national Special Projects team.
Reporting directly into the National Manager Special Projects Construction, your key purpose is the procurement, contract administration & financial reporting of the construction project trade contracts to achieve project WHS, Commercial, quality & programme objectives.
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Properly manage all commercial and financial activities for Special Projects to ensure the works achieve the Work Health & Safety (WH&S), time, cost and quality objectives for the Projects
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and submission of the Regional Quarterly Project Reports including updating CMS
- Ensure all commercial administration activities on Projects are in accordance with Scentre Design & Constructions policies and procedures
- Manage the D&C Operating Capital Approval (OCA) including reporting, project tracking and claims to the owners
This role provides a great opportunity to reach a number of internal and external stakeholders, including Project Managers and the project teams, Design teams, Services teams, subcontracts and our retailers.

- Tertiary or college qualification in Construction Management or similar
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in a similar commercial construction role
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction and development projects
- Experience working on commercial and retail projects is highly desirable
- 100% accuracy in all areas of forecasting and cost management
- Effective time management skills and able to work in dynamic fast paced environment
- Strong relationship building skills, commercial acumen and highly efficient work ethic
