The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Contracts Officer to join our Contracts team at ReturnToWorkSA.
This role is responsible for providing specialist contractual advice and administration for RTWSA’s contracts with Claims Agents and Legal Providers. Advice and support provided will assist RTWSA to minimise risk and maximise the value of the contracts, this includes monitoring and reporting on all contractual requirements and deliverables.
The Role:
- Providing information and advice to the Insurance Team, and other key staff on the interpretation of claims related contracts
- Development and ownership of risk management controls associated with claims related contracts
- Assist in the regular review of contracts to ensure they remain current and identify opportunities for contract variations (amendments), in order to maximise the value of the contract and meet the needs of the registered Scheme
- Prepare high quality written communication in a timely manner which includes providing advice relating to key contractual considerations and variations (amendments) to claims related contracts
- Process remuneration payments in an accurate and timely manner
- Monitor and report on contractual deliverables and obligations, including co‑ordination of KPI and other performance measure assessment requirements and gathering evidence of assessment requirements
- Designing and maintaining systems and processes to support sound contract administration practices
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Tertiary applications in law, commerce or another relevant discipline is desirable
- Significant demonstrable contract administration experience, including experience in managing deliverables, tracking performance, monitoring financial spend and maintaining registers
- Experienced in interpreting and advising on large scale contracts and relevant legislative provisions
- Able to present sound arguments to support recommendations together with excellent attention to detail to accurately make variations (amendments) to large scale contracts
- Working knowledge of the South Australian workers injury insurance environment is desirable
- Sound analytical, conceptual and reasoning skills with the ability to understand and interpret RTWSA’s strategic direction and relate it to contractual requirements
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to grasp new concepts quickly
- Is organised, efficient, accurate and precise
