The Role
Predominately Monday to Friday working days with school holidays off.
Trippas White Group is seeking an energetic & dynamic, hands on Cook or Chef to work as part of our team at one of Melbourne’s colleges in Ringwood , along with experience in events of all styles and guest numbers.
We are looking for a cook/ chef with flair and creativity, a passion for fantastic food and a willingness to work in a positive team environment with a supportive client.
Reporting directly to the onsite Catering Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day running and supervision of the kitchen including functions and retail. You will be multi-skilled with the ability to lead your team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Establishing and sustaining productive relationships with key client contacts
Day to day production of all kitchen requirements both retail & events.
High volume production of contemporary food
Ensuring only the very highest standards of food presentation & creativity
Assisting with Managing staffing requirements
Ordering and replenishing stock
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

Strong understanding of all aspects of menu planning disciplines
Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
Highly developed leadership skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Impeccable grooming standards
Strong knowledge of food handling and hygiene principles
Computer literate
Must be able to work as part of a team
Please note that a Working with Children check and drivers licence is a mandatory requirement of this position.
