About the role

Manage the catering and cooking service within Home.

Key Responsibilities

Maintains high levels of satisfaction with food services within the Home.

Prepares and oversees the preparation of daily meals for residents that meet their special dietary requirements eg; texture modified, allergen compliant, culturally relevant.

Ensures the menu is adhered to and residents receive meals of choice.

Ensures all meals prepared and served are fresh, well presented, appetizing and aromatic.

Ensures all catering equipment is maintained in accordance with WHS requirements, manufacturer’s guidelines, the Food Act, and food handling regulations and guidelines.

What you bring

A minimum of a Cert III in commercial cookery

Previous cooking experience in a residential aged care setting

Competencies in HLTFSE001, HLTFSE005, HLTFSE007 or state equivalent

Knowledge of the accreditation standards

Knowledge of relevant regulatory bodies, legislative requirements including local council & state government

An understanding of the HACCP principle and experience in team management with excellent leadership skills

Sound knowledge of texture, modified food and fluid and dietary requirements

A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
