Our Ideal Candidate:
Has the knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge, in the subject areas the unit supports including legislation relevant to the team.
Has leadership experience in a service focused or administrative setting
Has strong people management skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a diverse team, whilst establishing productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Your Team:
Reporting to the Executive Manager of Revenue & Business Support, this role provides leadership and guidance to the Business Support unit to ensure the needs of our internal and external stakeholders are met. Consisting of the Business Administration and the Regulatory Administration teams, the Business Support Unit can be viewed as a centralised administration team that supports various business units within Council. This role provides a great deal of variety due to the broad range of stakeholders we support.
The Business Administration team provide administration support for Development & Planning, Property Services, Building Services, Plumbing & Trade Waste, and Outgoing Grants.
The Regulatory Administration team provides admin support to Animal Management, Cemeteries, Licensing & Approvals, Local Laws, Regulatory Compliance and Regulated Parking.
