About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Coordinator to join our team at Uniting Mawarra OSHC on a permanent full time basis!

The Uniting Mawarra OSHC operates Before and After School Care and Vacation Care. 

Hours of operation are:

  • 6:30am - 9am - Before School Care
  • 3pm - 6:30pm - After School Care
  • 7am - 6pm - Vacation Care

As a specialist in Outside of School Hours Care and having a strong knowledge of the National Quality Standards and “My Time Our Place” framework, you will build a strong community culture in the centre and school, liaising with parents and developing staff.

What you’ll be doing in this role

As a Coordinator and as a specialist in  Prep - Outside of School Hours Care and having a strong knowledge of the National Quality Standards, you will build a strong community culture in the centre and school, liaising with parents and developing staff.

Your work may include:

  • Manage the day to day running of the service
  • Developing positive relationships that support children, their families and community.
  • Provide consistent and visible leadership in WH&S behaviours and actions within the team.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation and improvements to the service
  • Commitment to providing and maintaining a safe and supportive work environment that is inclusive of all staff !

Who we’re looking for

  • Certificate IV in Children Services and/or OSHC Services
  • Approved child protection clearance
  • Understanding of diversity and inclusive practice
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
