A bit about the role
As the Coordinator Strategic Property Management, you will lead an established team to promote Council’s policy of excellence in customer service by identifying, developing and implementing innovative strategies and business cases to improve service quality within the Strategic Property Management team.
You will develop new networks both within and outside the property industry in order to further Council’s business interests and identify best practice management techniques and technologies to improve the work of the team.
What you’ll do
- Provide high quality business, transactional and property policy advice to Wyndham City Staff, residents and other stakeholders
- Provide day to day management of the Unit, identify staff development needs and arrange appropriate training
- Formulate training programs for Strategic Property Management staff and other internal staff regarding property management
- Provide transactional insights, advice and support to the business and the preparation of statutory reporting where required
- Recommend Property Management system modification and system improvements
- Prepare, monitor and ensure compliance of the Unit’s budget
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualifications with relevance to the position
- Demonstrated experience developing and leading high performance, collaborative teams and building customer relationships
- Demonstrated knowledge of business principles associated with property management, including property related transactions and of Property Planning processes and procedures within a statutory environment
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Proven track record in managing time, setting priorities, delegating tasks and meeting quality and budgetary targets
- A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
