Our Energy Transition team brings this to life by supporting our clients to create sustained and meaningful value, and drive economic, environmental and social prosperity. Our team is working on significant energy transition opportunities on a national scale by orchestrating an ecosystem of public and private stakeholders, both domestically and abroad, to provide rigorous strategic advice, encourage investment, and create change.
We are looking to grow our Perth based team with either a full time or part time lawyer. Our team works on a flexible basis, from the office and from home, and we are open to discussing the working arrangements that will work best for you.

In the Energy Transition team, you'll contribute to strategic legal projects across; hydrogen, carbon capture and underground storage, onshore/offshore infrastructure development including wind projects, and foreign direct investment into Australia. Your work will help to enable Australia, and the world, to decarbonise. Leveraging expertise across the firm, our team is passionate about delivering impactful outcomes through investment in energy and environmental infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
Contributing to innovative and commercial solutions to clients’ complex and diverse legal and regulatory challenges across some of the following areas; project development, offtake agreements, M&A, power purchase agreements, lead agency arrangements, project structuring, schemes of arrangement and restructures
Demonstrating initiative, self motivation and curiosity, particularly around adopting and adapting to the technological, societal and market changes in the legal and other professional services industries
Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to provide market leading strategic commercial solutions to your clients
Building and maintaining strong relationships with other staff members both within the PwC legal practice and more broadly across the other PwC lines of service;
About you
You have a background in corporate, energy & resources and/ or projects
Ideally with 1-4 years PQE at a commercial law firm
Exposure to contractual drafting and negotiation, drafting advice and due diligence
Exceptional drafting skills, practice area expertise and commercial acumen and an interest in developing additional expertise in funds management.
You are highly motivated with an interest in the development of new ways of delivering commercial legal solutions to clients through the multidisciplinary platform provided by PwC.
Experience working in oil & gas, renewables and/or mining transactions or an interest in energy and resources, and the energy transition and/or agribusiness space will be useful for this position.
