The Opportunity

Reporting to the Team Lead Corridor Protection, you will play a key role in contributing to the protection of APA’s infrastructure assets through completing off-road patrols, safety awareness presentations, third-party liaison, landholder engagement, and encroachment investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct visits and have discussions with landholders to assist in addressing any concerns as they arise.
- Conduct off-road patrols of APA's asset corridors to monitor compliance with defined standards. Document findings of off-road patrols and prepare a detailed scope of work where appropriate, including recommended actions.
- Promote awareness of APA assets and associated safety requirements for external works, including the organisation and delivery of presentations to external stakeholders.
- Review corridor surveillance reports and initiate follow up actions as required. Provide regular reporting to management and other stakeholders regarding corridor condition, third-party works, stakeholder feedback and overall compliance status.
- Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, such as landholders, in difficult situations to achieve positive results, and maintain and build relationships.
- Investigate unauthorised works, identifying root causes, and implementing actions required to prevent re-occurrence
Your background
- Proven collaboration and influencing capability, applied across diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong safety focus and demonstrated adherence to safe work practices, as well as ability to promote and present safe working environments to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of requirements and risks associated with working around gas transmission pipeline infrastructure and/or electrical assets. (highly regarded)
- Capability for regular work in the field and conducting site inspections/visits, including in regional locations and on construction sites.
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills.
