Hays has partnered with one of Sydney’s largest local councils in Sydney’s Illawarra region. A temporary Afternoon shift position has arisen for 3 months on a highly competitive hourly rate; with likely extension till January to join lead their team as a heavy vehicle mechanic.
Your new role
As part of a dedicated team, you will be responsible for heavy vehicle mechanic.
Key Responsibilities
You will be working out of their workshop where duties will include service, maintenance and repairs to their machinery and vehicles, including waste compactors. The role is for an afternoon Shift commonly from 1-9pm and from 8am-4pm on Fridays. To succeed
Mechanical Trade Certificate preferred.
Experience with repair of equipment, vehicles, equipment
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
Ability to use tools and equipment safely and effectively
Current and valid manual driver’s licence
