Located in Biloela, Wahroonga is an easy walking distance to town set amongst lofty gum trees and well-maintained gardens.
About this role:
This is a part time dual role – 64 hours per fortnight.
You will divide your time between our small team of Creative Lifestyle Facilitators and our team of Support Workers assisting our residents with both their personal care needs and delivering, and assisting our residents to engage in, meaningful, creative lifestyle activities that promote wellbeing and vitality..
As part of the Creative Lifestyle team you will join local volunteers with a breadth of talent and skills you draw upon to make a great program of offerings. There are so many things you might find yourself doing in this role, we can’t list them all here! You and the team will design, coordinate, and deliver a variety of individual and group creative lifestyle activities that engage all residents/clients in ways they can choose, that promote wellbeing and vitality.
Our Personal Carers provide quality care that supports resident’s everyday domestic and household living including meal support and routine activities.
You must be available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, nights and weekends.
About you:
You will be, caring, compassionate and capable. You will role model client-centred ways of working and demonstrate that how we work and what we do is all about the clients and what they need. You will enjoy the chance to explore different options and creative ways to allow residents to participate and support their domestic and household duties including meal support and routine activities.
People will describe you as approachable, engaging, and warm and you hold unconditional positive regard for each person in this stage of their life. You may have worked with other groups of people to create and deliver learning or social or cultural activities in the past, where the goal was for positive outcomes.
You will have demonstrated experience working in Aged Care and hold a Certificate III in Individual support (Aging) or similar. You will be required to maintain an NDIS Workers Screening clearance and an open Drivers' licence.
