The Role
As a Credit officer, your duties will include but not be limited to:
Ensuring that all cash collected is correctly allocated.
Ensuring accounting procedures are being followed and that set KPI’s are met including both cash collections/settlements.
Ensure that overdue premiums are monitored effectively and chase unpaid premiums from Brokers.
Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, mainly underwriting and claims departments to ensure that all queries are swiftly resolved.
Assist the Credit Manager with ad hoc projects and initiatives.
You
To be successful in this role you will have:
Minimum of 2 years’ credit control experience.
Ability to work with web based and mainframe applications.
Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills; capable of dealing with senior managers, both internally & externally.
Prior People Soft experience is desirable.
Knowledge of Microsoft applications, e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook.
Self-motivated with positive attitude to problem solving and teamwork.
High level of personal organisation with the ability to manage time effectively to achieve the various deadlines.
