Job description

As part of our Banking & Financial Services (BFS) division, our Marketing Technology team play a key role in enabling the acquisition and retention of clients across of variety of retail banking products, including home loans, transaction and savings accounts, business lending & deposits and (in an Australian-first) electric vehicle loans.

We are seeking expertise to drive acquisition (via CRO as a key growth lever) through our public owned channel, macquarie.com.au. This role will combine developing the strategy and roadmap for CRO, as well as designing and owning experiments to deliver on this roadmap. You will work with a cross functional team of Brand & Growth Marketers, Content Specialists, UX/UI Designers, Engineers, Data Analysts and other experts to execute these experiments, including deriving insights, incorporating feedback and celebrating results.


Core Priorities:

  • Be responsible for driving our Conversion Rate Optimisation strategy and execution across all products on macquarie.com.au

  • Set out a clear and concise measurement framework such that experiments can run, succeed and fail rapidly, and those learnings are shared across the wider team

  • Teach the teams how to create and refine experimentation backlogs of rapid change, and drive a culture of experimentation

  • Drive the constant A/B testing strategy to persistently increase customer data capture and app conversion.


Target Profile & Key Attributes:

  • Strong experience in CRO & Growth - you are confident in the role of subject matter expert with internal teams. You are able to evangelise for both CRO and experimentation as major drivers of growth, and educate the team and key stakeholders as to why.

  • A proven history of consistently executing high-impact experiments to drive significant uplifts in core business metrics.

  • Passion for experimentation methodologies including experiment design, hypothesis creation and measurement. Prior experience required with experimentation tools (we use Google Optimise).

  • A strong collaborative mindset with an instinctive ability to work well with people.

  • Superb communication skills and presentation skills.

  • Baseline knowledge of other digital specialties including UX/UI, SEM, CRM, digital advertising and basic coding highly regarded.
