The Company
Ventia are an operations, maintenance and services organisation operating globally in the resources, energy, industrial, infrastructure, rail, and property and defence sectors.
Ventia has a long and successful partnership with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and is now expanding due to the renewal and extension of the Base Services contract to manage ADF facilities under the new contract on a national level.
The Role
Ventia are currently looking to engage a Range Supervisor responsible for the day to day function and operational management of the ranges. This is a permeant, fulltime position that will see you based at Port Augusta.
Responsibilities

• Ensure all required services are planned, coordinated and delivered according to the specific base and service locations requirements for the training areas and ranges services. This includes the allocation, tasking and sourcing of internal labour, subcontractors and equipment.
• Ensure the necessary supervision is in place and able to effectively supervise the service delivery requirements.
• Monitor and manage performance of the function covering positive and negative performance outcomes to achieve a continuous improvement in performance.

Skills and Experience

• Frontline Management
• Train the Trainer and Workplace Assessor desirable
• Horticulture desirable
• Mechanical back ground desirable
• A sound understanding of Contract Management, Quality Management systems and the continuous improvement process.
• An ability to interact effectively with technical staff, subcontractors, senior
• Well-developed computer, word processing and technical knowledge in MS Word, Excel and Power point.
• Training will be offered to the right candidate where required.
