The Data Operations team is responsible for the delivering products, reference data, customer data quality assessment and enhancement, account level transaction controls and quality of data outcomes across the product suites.



The team is part of the Data and Analytics Centre of Excellence, which has an ambitious multi-year data strategy which includes Customer 360 mobilisation and implementation of the new data management platform, Santander Data Marketplace.



A new team is being established in the Data Operations team to support the implementation of the bank's controls and rules in the new data quality module of Santander Data Marketplace. Working closely with the project delivery, metadata, data management and Data Engineering teams to deliver the complete solutions for critical and key data elements. (Ensuring data is defined in the business glossary, data lineage mapped, ownership assigned and data quality rules built).



The difference you'll make.
  • Supporting development and centralisation of new Customer data controls and quality assessments.
  • Supporting the ongoing data remediation implementation with our third-party data providers.
  • Supporting sprints of the Customer 360 initiatives to certify the data outcomes and data remediation decisions.
  • Delivering activity to support the core standard data cleansing executed on behalf of the data owners.
  • Supporting alignment of data between systems and define requirements as legacy applications are decommissioned and switched to new strategic infrastructure.
  • Supporting customer data migrations and the data cleansing actions required pre and post migration.




What you'll bring.
  • Knowledge of customer data models is essential, combined with customer data structures, formats and data gaps to ensure we make the correct decisions in correcting customer data and implement third party data solutions.
  • Proven experience and technical knowledge of SQL.




It would also be nice for you to have.
  • Knowledge of Hadoop and understanding data quality frameworks.
  • Having the technical capability to understand existing code and processes, with an ability to translate requirements for the new strategic platforms.
  • Proven track record in delivering first class service to solve problems for customers and stakeholders.
  • Experience in various tools for data analytics and the ability to extract insight from large scale datasets.




What else you need to know.



We will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.



This role offers hybrid working with an expectation to travel to the Milton Keynes office as and when required.



This is a permanent position.
