Position Overview: 

As a Customer Service Officer at our venue Six Degrees, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the guest experience and ensuring our patrons feel values and well-cared for. This position goes beyond the traditional reception role, encompassing a diverse range of responsibilities including managing online travel booking arrangements, assisting in selling merchandise for the venue as well as bands, tickets to patrons wanting to see live music at the venue. This is a part time position on a rotating roster over 7 days a week, and you must be available to rotate on weekends. Current opening hours of our front desk is 11am-7pm. Pay rate is negotiable within the Federal Award based on skills and experience.  

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Manage online travel booking arrangements from activities for patrons, flights and accommodation ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all areas.  
  • Assist in selling merchandise, tickets to patrons for live music at the venue and other promotional items.  
  • Perform hotel reception duties such as check-in, checkout and guest assistance 
  • Welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, providing exceptional customer service at all times.  
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.  
  • Assist in setting up functions and events, ensuring all preparations are completed to a high standard.  
  • Assist in checking door tickets for ticketed events, ensuring smooth entry for patrons.  
  • Maintain a clean and organised reception area, reflecting the high standards of Six Degrees. 
  •  Collaborate and communicate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfactions 
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.  

Key Requirements: 

  • Previous experience of minimum 1 year in a customer service or hotel reception role is preferred.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with guests and team members.  
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.  
  • Proficiency in using computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Click-Up, RMS and the ability to learn new systems quickly.  
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations such as customer complaints with a proactive approach to problem solving.  
  • Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and evenings.  
  • A positive attitude and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative and cooperative mindset.  
  • Knowledge of hotel operations is advantageous but not essential.  
  • A commitment to upholding the values and standards of Six Degrees, including professionalism, integrity and excellence in service delivery.
