About the role:

The Customer Operations Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing and interpreting data across the Commercial & Customer Department to generate insights to drive better business decisions whilst maintaining the complex regulatory and commercial environment in which they operate. The role will work across the business to deliver high quality, informative outputs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive business outcomes and insights through detailed analysis (identifying trends, patterns etc) and interpreting and presenting the data to influence decision making.
  • Identify efficiencies and initiatives to improve Customer Operations performance.
  • Design and implement reporting tools to support Customer Operations deliverables.
  • Collaborate with IT partners to initiate, define and design automated reporting through available IT platforms.
  • Understand changes to the environment Jemena operates in and ensure this is reflected in systems and future reporting.
About you:
  • Business qualifications relevant to the position preferred, equivalent 10 years relevant industry experience is acceptable.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns and insights from data. This includes interpreting and presenting data leading to informed decision making.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Victorian and New South Wales energy industry, including the regulatory framework and codes as applicable to a distribution business.
  • Detailed knowledge of the energy assets for its customer, metering, billing and revenue assurance services.
  • Basic understanding of Six Sigma methodology and continuous improvement.
