About the organisation and key responsibilities
City West Housing (CWH) is an independent not for profit housing provider with a focus on developing and delivering affordable rental housing. CWH invests in the communities in which it operates, working closely with a range of partners to build stronger communities. It is proud to house 1,600 residents across nearly 900 homes in the City of Sydney. Its purpose is to build stronger communities and improve people’s lives by providing affordable housing.

Reporting to the Operations Support Manager, the Customer Service and Administration Assistant is the face of City West Housing and the first point of contact for most resident enquries.
Greet all residents, applicants and contractors in a warm and professional manner and direct them as appropriate as well as other stakeholders
Direct and escalate enquiries as necessary
Manage meeting room calendar, stocking the kitchen as required, and maintain immaculate office presentation
Ensure office supplies and stationery are kept stocked
Process all incoming and outgoing mail
Data entry and processing
Ad-hoc administration assistance to the Manager Operations Support and Team Assistant
Essential criteria:
Experience in a customer-service-oriented role, and the ability to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Capable of managing challenging conversations and sensitivity to residents’ situations
Ability to handle competing and changing priorities and a positive, proactive approach to problem-solving
High attention to detail and top-level verbal and written communication
A high level of confidentiality and discretion
